EMZ Business Meeting Minutes May 25, 2025

Dan A started the meeting with the Serenity Prayer.

Old Business: None

Treasurer’s Report:  Linda reported that the closing balance as of 4/30 was 633.00. See treasurer’s report for details.  There is an outstanding check made to last year’s Alkathon in Nov 2024.  Dan made a motion to cancel the check. Kathleen seconded the motion which passed unanimously. 

Secretary report: Minutes from the April meeting are posted to our website. 

GSR report: The Sober Fest will run from June 6-8th, by Area 11.

Books & Coins Report:  John P reports it has been slow with no requests for coins or books. Dan made a motion to revise the Opening Script to direct people to contact John P for a book or coin. Jeff offered to make the revisions.  John P seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.

Grapevine Report: No report

Service Chair Report: Ron reports everything is status quo. A new secretary will be needed after 6/24.  We will vote on a new secretary in next month’s meeting.

Dan A made a motion to pass all Committee Reports. Sal seconded the motion which passed unanimously.

New Business:  Fred raised the fact that District 19 has changed the day of the month for their monthly meeting. He suggested that this group discuss a change for our monthly Business Meeting to follow the District’s meeting.  To be discussed in next month’s meeting.

John P made a motion to close the meeting. Ron seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
