EMZ Business Meeting Minutes August 25, 2024 

Paul started the meeting with the Serenity Prayer and read Tradition 8: “Alcoholics Anonymous should remain forever nonprofessional, but our service centers may employ special workers.”

 Old Business: None

 New Business:

• Fred made a motion that we put a 3 minute timer on the screen during meetings when people are sharing so they know when to wrap up. The motion was seconded followed by group discussion.
• The motion was tabled to be revisited in next month’s Business Meeting.

 Secretary report: The minutes for the July meeting are posted on our website. The report was accepted without objection.

Treasurer’s Report:  Linda was not present. No Treasurer’s report.

GSR report: Paul reports from this month’s GSR meeting. Sisters in Sobriety at 7pm no longer meets.  Area 11 conference is coming in Sept at the Sheraton in CT.  Paul’s commitment at GSR for our meeting ends in December. Our group will need a new GSR.

Books & Coins Report:  No report

Grapevine Report: Darlene asked that people let her know of any suggestions for sharing the Grapevine.

Service Chair Report: No issues to report.
