EMZoomer’s business meeting April 12, 2026

Herb led us with the Serenity Prayer

Old business: Dan A. reporting for Michael A. Stated the minutes from the discussion that took place on March 15th regarding how the business meeting was going for people, is posted on the website under the archives.

Secretaries report: Lisa U. Reported the minutes from March’s business meeting have been posted for all to read. Asked for any corrections. None made.

Herb made a motion to accept the secretaries report John D. seconded it past unanimously

Treasurers report: Deb B. posted and shared March’s numbers, (posted at the end of this report). Deb asked the group if we wanted to keep our quarterly donation percentages the same as last quarter Herb shared thoughts about changing the percentages and then Herb made a motion to donate 40% to the GSO 40% to the area and 20% to district 19 Deb B. seconded the motion.

There were 11 yays and one abstention.

Dan A. made a motion to approve the treasurers report and Denice seconded it. It passed unanimously

Website report: Herb reports we’re still getting 2500 to 3000 visitors for the daily readings. Dan A. made a motion to approve the website report John D. seconded all were in favor, past unanimously.

Service Chair report: Dan A reporting for Michael A shared two new chair people were put in place and one new speaker seeker. Lisa U. made a motion to accept the service chair report, Kevin D. seconded past unanimously

Books and Coins: Mary shared that one big book and one coin went out so far this April. Dan A. made a motion to accept Books and Coins. Denice seconded. It passed unanimously.GSR report: Darlene shared the date for the gratitude breakfast next Saturday, April 17.

Herb mentioned district 19 has its own website and posts minutes from their business meetings.

Grapevine report: Darlene reports the annual subscription has expired asking the group how to move forward. Darlene hasn’t had any request for issues. Discussion followed Darlene wondering whether we want to continue subscribing. Deb B. shared she received a gift at her one year anniversary for a subscription and suggested perhaps we do that for our one year anniversarians. Molly shared the annual subscription for the Grapevine costs $36 and made a motion that we get a one year subscription and donate the copy to EMR or other sites. Deb B. seconded passed unanimously.

New business:

Molly initiated discussion on the idea of gifting one year anniversarians with a one year subscription to the Grapevine. Kathleen made a motion to send the grapevine issue the month of they celebrated their one anniversary. Molly seconded more discussion. Grapevine is struggling finacially, emzoomers has plenty of money to gift these subscriptions. Kathleen withdrew her motion, Deb B made a motion to gift a one year subscription of the Grapevine to any emzoomer celebrating their one year anniversary.

Molly seconded, Jeff H. clarified we were still purchasing a subscription for the meeting to distribute locally in addition to gifting one year celebrants with a subscription.  All were in favor- the motion passed unanimously.
